Content: | In this two-day course we will focus on the importance of a minimally invasive tooth preparation prior to the production of the final restoration. Step-by-step we will illustrate the five preparation phases, putting the theory we have just learned into practice on the models. The final models are then digitised with the Detection Eye intraoral scanner and verified in the software for precision. Participants will also get insights into the cementation technique which we carry out on already prepared models. The course will be a combination of digital and analogue workflow. |
Programme
Day 1 (all-day)
- Explanation of the importance of minimally invasive preparation
- Step-by-step demonstration of the five tooth preparation phases to produce zirconia crowns which each participant will re-apply on their own models.
Day 2 (all-day)
- Finalisation of the preparations
- Digital scanning of the final models with the Detection Eye intraoral scanner
- Verifying the precision of the preparations in the software
- Introduction to the cementation technique and demonstration
- Cementing the crowns on prepared models
