Programme
Day 1 (all-day)
- Introduction to the topic: teamwork between dentist and dental technician as key tool for a successful patient treatment; the importance and development of minimally invasive dentistry and dynamic age-related treatment planning; tissue management, impression taking and dental technical elaboration, key factors for high-quality restorations; insights into the process and the registration (incl. scan path) of the patient situation with the Detection Eye intraoral scanner
- Practical part – intraoral scan: demonstration scan and practical exercises on upper and lower jaw models
- Scanning, photographic recording (close-up) and colour definition of the individual tooth colour of the participating dentists for the initial documentation
- Demonstration of a zirconia veneer cementation on a demo-patient
- Basics of adhesion (insulation, importance of monophosphates, polymerisation lamp)
- Practical exercise with the cementation of the zirconia veneers on the demonstration model
- Analysis of the cemented veneers under the microscope
- Model creation
- Diagnostic virtual wax-up
- Integration of the intraoral scan data into the Zirkonzahn.Software
- Creation of the individual mock-up
Day 2 (all-day)
- Try-in of the mock-up and the zirconia veneers on the patient
- Evaluation of the situation and discussion of treatment alternatives
- Try-in of the mock-ups on the participants
- In-depth study on zirconia veneers – Dental aspects (indications and contraindications, advantages and disadvantages, diagnostics, importance of the mock-up, selective preparation)
- Production of zirconia veneers in the dental laboratory: what needs to be taken into account?
- Final recap and concluding discussion
