Design of delicate restorations despite unfavourably placed implants

Geometric adaptation of the bar to a temporary restoration

If the implants are placed too far dorsally in a planned implant-supported restoration with bar, it is difficult to design the entire restoration delicately. In such a case, a temporary restoration can first be created as the basis for the bar design. The bar is then geometrically adapted to the wax-up of the temporary and milled. It is then digitised and serves as the basis for designing the final secondary structure. The superstructure can now be refined and then bonded to the bar as usual.
