Bite Splints made from Temp Premium Flexible in functional therapy

In splint therapy the most frequently used material for occlusal splints is autopolymerizing polymethyl methacrylate. However, the unfavourable shape and transparent colour of these splints is often criticized by patients, who feel that this makes their use in a professional and social environment impossible.

Temp Premium Flexible less susceptible to fracture and can be made extremely thin, allowing to approach the target anatomic morphology. Furthermore, in situation requiring extensive changes in the vertical dimension of occlusion (VDO), there is now the new option to simultaneously use a maxillary and a mandibular splint that reproduce the occlusal contours of the wax-up and therefore reflect not only the newly defined bite but also the associated newly designed static and dynamic occlusion.
