Prettau® Zirconia jest częściowo stabilizowany itrem i wzbogacony aluminium. Zapewnia to korzystne właściwości materiału, jak wysoka wytrzymałość na zginanie wynoszące nawet 1200MPa, odporność na wysokie temperatury, jak również stały współczynnik kurczenia, co gwarantuje najwyższą precyzję.

Zęby są modelowane i frezowane jak zwykle, potem barwione specjalnym płynem Colour Liquid, a następnie spiekane w piecu przy użyciu programu opracowanego do tego celu. Technologiczne know-how technika dentystycznego jest obecnie przeniesione z techniki licowania do techniki barwienia. Powierzchnia zgryzowa nie musi już być mozolnie poddawana licowaniu ceramiką, ale może być po prostu skopiowana z pełnego modelu zęba.
